Day of the Dead is an ancient Aztec holiday which is celebrated in Mexico, the United States, and other countries. It focuses on gatherings of families to remember friends and family members who have died. Since it occurs shortly after Halloween, the Day of the Dead is sometimes thought to be a similar holiday, although the two actually have little in common.
